WILLY
Willy was born in the mountains of the Andes, Peru. At age 14 he emigrated to the capital Lima, where he attended High School. After finishing high school he attended hair stylist training in Buenos Aries, Argentina. Upon graduation Willy spent 3 successful years working as a hairstylist. In 1990 Willy immigrated to New York City, NY to pursue his dreams as a stylist specializing in haircuts for men. Willy's ultimate goal was to open a shop offering men the precision, creativity and cutting edge style. For years Willy honed his craft working at high end shops on Manhattan's Upper East Side. During this time Willy had a steady client list which included many A-List celeberites including: Antony Quinn, Al Leiter, and Roy Ordonez to name a few. In 2007 all Willy's hard work and persistence allowed him to open his own hair stylist shop in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Willy is married and the father of three wonderful children. He is also an avid runner and enjoys running marathons in his spare time as well as spending time with his dog.
Tito
Prior to coming to the United States, Tito worked for over 7 years in Lima, Peru. He comes from a family of Peruvian hair stylists, who gave him the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience from working both at home and in many salons throughout Peru. Although Peru is Tito's home, he decided to come to the United States in 2004 to work in salons in Queens and Brooklyn, where he learned much about the variety and uniqueness of American hair styles. His experience in these boroughs inspired him to seek further education in the field. In November 2009, he entrolled in one of the mosty prestigious hairdressing schools in New York City, the Arrojo Cosmetology School, which is owned by Nick Arrojo—one of the prominent hairstylists in America. At Arrojo, Tito studied and worked over 1000 rigorous hours to perfect several different styles and earn his diploma in hairstyling, which he received in 2010. Tito now works beyond just the basic hair styling for both women and men at Willy’s Hairstyling on the Upper East Side in Manhattan.
KOKI
Koki, originally from Peru, holds the Senior Advanced class’s certification from BBA (British Barbers Association). At the beginning of his career, Koki started as a Hair Colorist at a high-end Hair salon in Upper East Side, NYC. Once he started working at WILLYS, his passion of crafting hair with scissors became stronger day by day.
These days he has been doing tutorial videos for Odoud’s, featuring their special formulated grooming products tailored for men & women, and he is well known by his regular clients for his enthusiastic technique in precision haircuts.
